Dakine Leash Surf – Dakine Kainui Pro Comp Leash
It’s so important to have a leash while paddleboarding, that’s why I always use anything with the Dakine Leash Surf name because I want to keep my board close to me. Regardless of surfing, paddle boarding or whatever, these boards cost money! The last thing I want to have happen after getting thrown off a killer wave is to have my board get away from me. These Dakine leashes always make my board be within 5 feet of my whether im on it or off it.

I’ve been stand up paddle boarding for years now and It’s definitely one of my favorite past times. The great thing about stand up paddle boarding is that you can cover huge areas in very little time (in the ocean that it). You’d be surprised how quickly you can wander 1 to 2 miles off the coast or away from your point of entry. If your board gets away from you this far off the coast… you’re done! I really can’t emphasize this enough. Board leashes are “key” for safe surfing and safe paddle boarding.
This Dakine Kainui Pro Comp Leash works amazing! Top quality, won’t rip or break easily and will make sure that board is within 5 ft of you at all times. It comes equipped with precision mold fittings, brass swivels, a wrap rail saver and is a very competitive leash. You can’t go wrong really with this guy, and the price is right on this one. When in doubt Dakine leash surf.
A perfect example of a leash possibly even saving your life would be this. In this video this paddle boarder is off the coast of Camp Peddelton in So. Cal and you’ll soon understand why he would need to get back on his board in a hurry if he were to fall off.
See what I mean, Be careful out there and always use a leash! Checkout the Dakine Leash Surf line, you won’t be disappointed!
